Everything excellent! Tasty and very good sliced and aperitif. Excellent polenta cooked on the fireplace! Mouth-watering escaped birds. Good service and courtesy from both the owner and the waitress. We will be back, highly recommended place.

In Carena, in the picturesque Valle Morobbia, you can practically feel the joy of the reopening. Since March 1, 2023, Yuri, a well-known local chef and manager, has taken over the Ristorante della posta. As soon as you enter the dining room, you are swept away by the cheerful mood and the laughter of the guests. You feel welcome and in good company. The relaxed, family-like atmosphere is soothing. The hustle and bustle and stress are forgotten. Katja served us an aperitif, actively supporting her husband in the service department. A well-coordinated team. There is no traditional menu. Yuri personally comes to the table and lists the local products he has purchased from the surrounding farms and the typical Ticino dishes he has created with them. You immediately sense his experience and passion for cooking. After discussing the menu with him, you can sit back and enjoy. After a salad as an appetizer, we were served a beef stew with polenta cooked over the fire. The meat was very tender and the sauce was a real treat, as was the polenta. Two weeks ago, we had wild boar, which we also thoroughly enjoyed. As a sweet, perfect ending, we had a meringue parfait, homemade by Katja. It was refreshing and delicious! We recommend reserving a table for the evening. This way, you can find out right away what dishes are on offer. At lunchtime, a delicious, affordable lunch is available for artisans in the valley during a short break, which is also gratefully accepted by the workers at a construction site in our neighborhood. It was also interesting to learn that four double rooms will be available starting June 1, 2023. We thank Katja and Yuri for their hospitality and wish them all the best. We only stopped for a post-hike beer. Friendly owner and decidedly excellent price of beers, despite being in Suisse
