Food is fine for a quick stop. Not special basically a Coop or Migros sausage, but the surrounding and atmosphere on top of a mountain is ofcourse inviting. 🏔️ otherwise manny people but music 🎶 is a good choice 👍

Cute little restaurant. We had a quick stop at Cucina Militare on our journey to Lugano. The weather was bad so we sat inside at one of the long tables. The lady serving us was very nice although she did not speak English. The atmosphere was quaint and we had a coffee and apple strudel - lovely. They also serve a full menu and more pastries.

As a former soldier I can absolutely say that in the barracks we ate 100 times better. Then the prices, never mind: - Cheese crostone CHF 16.50 - Cervelat and cheese salad CHF 19.50 - Beer 3 dl CHF 5.50 It would be appropriate to indicate the prices on the blackboard. Let's not talk if you want to go to the bathroom: - 1 CHF to enter a bathroom that has nothing to envy of 3rd world bathrooms (with all due respect to 3rd world bathrooms) Friendly staff, average. ADVISE: If you are hungry, stop at the bistro next door which sells local products and offers excellent snacks and grilled dishes, or stay hungry and let yourself be delighted by the menus of the Caseificio del Gottardo in Airolo
