The restaurant has no competition. Because there is no competition on quality, the plain white bread you get for free was genuinely the best thing we ate :( Also, because there is no competition, the prices are more like fancy restaurant prices. Although I do understand running costs on the island might also be high, and those would need to be covered. It is on a beautiful island however, so the ambience was excellent The service was "fine", the staff were nice, but run off their feet, they need more staff for the business of the restaurant, at least during lunch time.
Lovely location, beautiful view of the lake and greenery from the botanical gardens. The selection of food is not big, and rather on the fancier and pricier side. We therefore decided against a full lunch and opted for Mövenpick shakes, which were quite disappointing (too dilute). The burger di angus was decent. The service was very slow. 3 stars for location only.
Extremely unfriendly staff, came with my family for a coffee, sat down, waited 15 minutes to be served and once someone came they told us the table was booked and basically kicked us out in front of everyone there. To avoid at all costs.
