Short walk to the cave is very nice. You will pass the castle and have some great views on the surrounding mountains, Rhone river and a small town of St. Maurice. For someone who deals with cave tourism and cave management, I was shocked to see so much lampenflora (flora created by artificial light). This is very damaging for the cave environment. Nevertheless, at the end of the cave there is a very high waterfall - but be careful, the stairs there are not in a good condition.

Cave with breathtaking underground "waterfall" and small lake. You could visit it in self guided way, which allows you to fully enjoy it. It's open since XIX century and there are no stalagmites/stalactites anymore. Visit takes approximately one hour.

Lovely friendly restaurant. Great place to stop after a visit to the Grotte aux Fees. Free parking (2hrs) at the foot of the hill by the Castle entrance and then a 10-15 minute walk up the hill. Doable even with small kids. Caves are fun - not spectacular until the waterfall at the end but the rather tacky fairy hunt is great for kids!
