We had a late lunch in this venerable eatery in the middle of the old part of Perroy a cool Friday mid March of 2025. By luck we got their last free table. They have a small menu featuring fish from the nearby Lake Geneva, meat, poultry and a couple of Bistro dishes but nothing even close to vegetarian options. The wine list is dominated by local wines as it should be and service is as close to perfect as you could wish for. Lacking fantasy, we had filets of perch with French fries like the majority of the other guests. We suggest you reserve well in advance, in particular if you plan to have dinner here. Recommended!
What a delightful surprise! Filet of perch is the local specialty and I've had it at several places. This was the best by far! We also ordered a dish of local sausage cooked with leek and potato. The sausage was very rich and the dish was probably enough to serve three, but I ate some of the sausage and about half of the leek and potato. My husband and has Friend both had the fillet of perch and it was wonderful, and we started with a large mixed salad. For dessert we had lemon tart and a very unusual Sunday of Walnut ice cream, violet ice cream and drunken prunes which was delicious. The place is charming and full of interesting artifact including the very old fashioned jukebox with some pretty modern music on it which is not currently in use
Excellent typical restaurant near the lake and surrounded by vineyards. Old dining rooms well decorated. Their specialty is filet de Perche of lake Leman, fish, and they do not disappoint : fish is fresh, nicely grilled and still tender, with silky butter sauce. Accompanied with tiny french fries of excellent quality. Local wine is good and of good value. Will come back soon!
