Hotel Hirschen : Dorfstrasse 17, 3550 Langnau im Emmental

So, I wad here for a company dinner and everything was great. We started the evening in the wine cellar then after had a pre- ordered dinner. The service was very good and the folks were freindly.

We have had a wonderful experience at Hotel Hirschen. The rooms are large, nice and comfortable. The staff is absolutely great. So many languages spoken in Switzerland but they spoke english. A beautiful breakfast was included in our room rate- oh so good! We had two fantastic dinners. The first night was from the menu. We asked Evelyn, the owner, where we could have fondue.she spoke with the chef and he said he’d make the fondue for us! So… we just finished that and oh boy was it good. But the shining star was Evelyn. She and her partner, Kevin (the chef), took this over from his parents. Boy does she know service. We’ve been traveling from Paris to Provence and then Geneva- Hotel Hirschen was the best yet. Evelyn- I know if I lived here I’d want her to be my friend. The restaurant is closed the 1st 3 weeks of January but, seriously, visit this town and specifically this little hotel!!
