We tried to stop to have lunch in the terrace. When we placed the bikes next to the free wall . The waiter came to us saying we could not leave them in the terrace. Asking why if there are no bike racks and the terrace was empty, his answer was “it is the terrace”. We decided to leave. EDIT after reply from the place: apparently it was not the waiter, it was the business owner , worried that an outdoors terrace in the street could get spoiled by 2 road bikes. Conclusion: the place is NOT bike friendly. Suggestion: hang a sign stating that

Village restaurant with a warm welcome. Efficient and attentive service. Delicious cuisine with fresh, quality products. Portuguese specialties on the menu. The octopus at Lagareiro was meltingly tender, just as it should be. A lovely spot with a lovely little shaded terrace. Thank you!

Menu is a mix of traditional and Portuguese dishes. The octopus was excellent. The dessert du jour was impressive. Good wine selection. Friendly staff. We’ll be back.
