The place is nice specially the terrace and if you are looking for a restaurant on Monday night in Lausanne , this is the only option. However be aware of the very moody chef and about the bad food he is cooking. When we asked for an other brioche bread he refuses to give it to us ! I still don’t even understand what could be the reason … then our main course , the lamb, was over cooked and we had to beg for more sauce to be able to eat it ( which we did not eat it at the end ) . It was as well way too salty . To end the diner , we have chosen a chocolate fondant cake which was as well too cooked and not fondant at all. We have asked to talk to the chef but he did not show up, so we left after 20 minutes waiting for him . So if you book there be aware that pricing is very high if you compare it to the quality of food. Way over 100 CHf per head without wines. The service is good and staff is really trying to help and make you enjoy your evening. It is a pity as the place could be a fantastic and very relaxing restaurant

A restaurant accessible through park next to the lake. Appetizers were good. Main course overall was so so. Fish dish was better than beef or lamb. Prices was high.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Café Beau-Rivage at the hotel of the same name in Ouchy, Lausanne. Nested across the lake shore, the restaurant is equally pleasant either its food options. Highly recommended if in Lausanne.
