Château de Vufflens : Chem. de la Balle 1, 1134 Vufflens-le-Château

The massive castle structure dominates the old village of Vufflens and the rapeseed fields and castle vineyard to the south. It was constructed during the early 1400-s and there are wild stories of the initial owner's treatment of his wife and four unwanted daughters. The castle continues to be privately owned to this day and therefore you cannot visit its interior. However, the gate to the inner courtyard is open so you will be able to see much of the building structures. You need a really wide lens to capture the entire building in one frame from all sides except the south. Enjoy what we shot this last Sunday of April 2025. And don't forget, you can purchase their wines in the nearby winery.

Beautiful location for a walk. The footpaths are well signposted and you get fabulous views of the castle, the lake and the trains as you walk through the surrounding vineyards. No car park but there are sufficient places to park or you can easily come by train.

Gorgeous looking castle and nice scenery around it. Perfect for a picnic or just to pass by and see a nice castle. The little town is also very cute where it is located.
