Le Bras d'Or : Rte de Suscévaz 3, 1438 Mathod

We stopped for lunch at this modest hotel-restaurant in the sleepy village of Mathod on our way home from Yverdon via Orbe. The restaurant has ambitions, as shown by serving you an amuse-bouche as a free starter and an excellent home made piece of chocolate with your coffee. There is a decent choice of meat, fish, poultry, vegetarian dishes and local wines; Olivia chose tofu with morels and black rice. I opted for an entrecôte ordered blue but served medium rare. Service was rapid and pleasant and we ate on the terrace, overlooking the parking lot.

Amazing place with great food

This time was much better. The new owners offer good quality food and good service. The local wine selection is good too. If you are in the neighborhood this is the place to go to. We were 5 and each and everyone was happy with the meal.
