Au relais : Grand Rue 62, 1660 Château-d’Œx

Overall good experience but there are a few things to improve. The dinner started extremely well in a 5 stars rating. The service was very friendly and smiling and the starters well excellent. The pasta stuffed with goat cheese are outstanding. The pasta with mozzarella, olives, capers and cherry tomatoes are good but clearly below in terms of taste. The suprême de poulet is not a suprême but a mere escalope. It was fine and the sauce was good. The wine was good too. The bread is clearly the worst part for me: in a French speaking area, I expect way, way better. The tiramisu was good. Finally, the menu is suspiciously long, even if you cut out the pizzas. This generally indicates bit everything is homemade but well if the taste is here, maybe that's not a problem after all.

Au Relais Restaurant in Château-d'Oex offers unbeatable value and flavor. I enjoyed a satisfying pizza and salad combo paired with a fantastic alcohol-free beer. It's the village's most budget-friendly option, yet the taste is exceptional. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is friendly. For delicious food at a great price, Relais Restaurant is a must-visit in Château-d'Oex.

Lovely find. Really lovely and welcoming staff. Food is simple but very tasty. Good value drinks. Best of all lovely staff and very nice atmosphere.
