Le Grillon : Chem. du Grillon 1, 2534 Prés-d'Orvin

We've been frequenting this restaurant for over 30 years, and chef Daniel Jeandrevin has never disappointed us. We came on a Saturday in October at noon for a family meal. Children aged 2 to 6 received a specially adapted menu, and Madame Jeandrevin was always cheerful despite the noise caused by the children. Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere: What more could you want? We chose the "little gourmets" menus for CHF 95 and particularly enjoyed the grilled sea bass with saffron sauce and eggplant caviar. The meats, cheeses, and desserts were also delicious. A highly recommended place. Please note: card payments are not possible due to the poor phone network.

Impeccable service and dishes over the years, never disappointing and setting the bar at the same level every time, at the top. Seasonal dishes, friendly atmosphere, magnificent decor. The price of the meals is totally justified. (PS: If you book by phone, you can request a 9-course menu that isn't even on the menu, and it's just as excellent!) THE restaurant to visit if you love savoring.

The food is excellent, we ate very well, the portions are great, and we can go for seconds! Be careful with the cooking of the meat; we ordered medium, well-done, and our steak was rare. We didn't take it back because it was still edible—and delicious—but don't ask for the cooking preferences if customers don't get what they want... The service is average; we feel like we're intruding, the staff is slightly aggressive... there were some order errors and a long wait. We were a large group, which can be a hassle, we understand, but don't accept a family group if you're going to be overwhelmed, stressed, or incomprehensible. Very kind owners 😁
