First time here. A large group of us and we had a great round table near the back. Overall, service was warm, attentive and convivial. We had sharing plates for our entrees and all were tasty. However the mains were a bit underwhelming, price for the portion and presentation of the dishes did not stack up. Ravioli served in what looked like small soup bowls, the taste did not leave an impression. Overall, a nice evening but it was the service - and eclectic wine list - that made it for us. The food portions and selection need a tweak or the prices should go down to get the balance right. Hoping to see some improvements for next visit.
I had a lovely cup of coffee in a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere. The place has a beautiful terrace, and sipping my coffee while listening to birds chirping was truly relaxing. The location is great, and the big tree on the terrace offers both fresh air and shade—perfect for summer days. It's a place that lifts your spirits with its peaceful vibe. Definitely a spot I would recommend!
A superb discovery in Lausanne – refined cuisine and a warm atmosphere As Italian visitors to Lausanne, we were delighted to discover Chez Denis, a restaurant that combines elegance, culinary quality, and a warm welcome. From the moment we arrived, the place captivated with its refined yet relaxed atmosphere, with a pleasant terrace and modern interior. We chose a raw dish (probably a beef or tuna tartare), extremely well prepared, tasty, fresh, and tastefully presented, accompanied by crispy toasted bread that was perfect for each bite. The service was professional and very friendly, with a special attention that made us feel at ease, even as foreigners. This was all the more appreciated since, for us Italians, a warm welcome and quality products are essential when dining in a restaurant. Another positive point: the very long opening hours, which allow you to dine even late—which is rare in the region! …..a truly wonderful gastronomic experience in Lausanne, which we recommend without hesitation. A place not to be missed if you're looking for a good, stylish meal.
