Prepare yourself for the best experience ever if you like hiking and relaxation. I recommend if you are going there to free up some space on your phone or camera as you’ll be taking tons of images and videos. The only downside is that you won’t find a grocery store up there but this is understandable given that the place is literally 2000 meters up in the mountain. So you can get whatever you need first from the village before going up there.

There is a good place to stay when you travel to Aletsch Glacier, and the employees are friendly.I stayed in hotel one night. It’s convenient to take cable car directly to the view point of Aletsch Glacier near Eggishorn station.

Order the family gerat for €40, you get a huge plate with chips and frikandellen and a big jug of squash. Too much food for 4 adults and 4 kids! Pure happiness.
