Restaurant Canaan : Willy-Spühlerstrasse 5, 3954 Leukerbad

We came on a rainy- stormy day after we visited the thermal bath. We ordered 2 soups ( hot and sour and asparagus ) in small bowls enough for 1 person / bowl. We ordered the roast duck and the Sichuan beef ( which i found quite salty for The beef). I love the presentation from the appetizer to the desserts. They offer an asian/ shrimp cracker as a complimentary and warm towels after you finished your meal for free. I asked them for chilly and they brought me fine chopped chilly in soy sauce, which was amazing since it is like Asian home style that i never see either in the States or other countries. The cocktail was spectacularly good - very fruity and just balanced! Located a few mins walk from the thermal spa, so it was a great idea to have this food after a cold day/ after the spa. The price is fair given for a tourist area + Switzerland. However, i found the price for mochi ice cream to be a bit exorbitant compared to the rest of the items we ordered, which i do not recommend. The fried Apple beignets were delicious, not greasy at all. Service is attentive + fast. The owner offer a 10% for the next visit that valid for 1 year, hopefully, and get to use it again!

We had a quick dining experience here—the service was impressively fast! Our food arrived in less than five minutes, which was great. The food itself was good, though a bit on the expensive side. The staff was attentive, but one thing that could be improved is their approach to clearing tables. It would be better if they asked before taking empty glasses or plates, rather than just grabbing them suddenly. A bit more friendliness from the staff would also make the experience more welcoming. Overall, it’s a decent place with fast service and good food, but a little warmth and better communication would make it even better!

Great food and amazing service. My husband and I ordered the crispy duck pancake which was so delicious and came out crispy and hot! I ordered the beef on the hot plate and it was still sizzling and kicking. My only regret is that we didn’t eat here on our first night. But we certainly will be back in our next visit.
