Absolutely great experience, which is saving your time and you have a rest about 15...20 minutes during the move of the train when you can just do some things you want and it cost not such a big money less than Fr.40

What a surprise and what an experience! By coincidence we ended up here at the Autoverlad, which is a train ride through the Lötschberg. Duration 15 min. All the cars drive on the train and while you stay in your car the train brings you to the other side of the mountain. Swiss Franc 29,50 for our car and 2 persons. All is very well organized and before we entering the train you buy your ticket. Buying a ticket online apparently is cheaper. Online you can find departure times, but every 10 min a train is departing.

A very cool experience. We planned to take the highway, which was about 30 minutes longer, saving 27 CHF, until we saw how cool this ride was. A blast for the kids also! The wait time was short, about 30mins max, and the experience of travelling in your car on the back of a train was amazing!
