B&B Le Pernollet : la Balmaz, rue des échelles 52, 1902 Evionnaz

I'm an American and was traveling on business. I had the weekend to explore Switzerland before heading to my next destination. I'm very glad I found this quiet retreat for a break from flying around all of Europe going from meeting to meeting. The rooms were extremely clean and well decorated. The porch had a beautiful view and was the perfect place to relax and read a book or take a nap. I had dinner in the restaurant my first night. I ate the beef bone marrow and cold roast beef with fries. Everything was fresh and delicious and well prepared. I couldn't be happier with my choices. I will likely come back here...next time for a real vacation with my family!

I had a bad experience with this restaurant-inn. Their website says it opens at 8am. I called after 8am, but no one answered. After several attempts, the receptionist finally informed me abruptly that the restaurant did not open until 10 a.m., before hanging up. This unfriendly communication seemed inappropriate to me, especially towards potential customers like me who simply wanted to verify information before booking. Following this experience, I decided to book elsewhere. **I am adding a photo to clarify that the opening hours are as they appear on the restaurant's website.

Super nice discovery. Perfect room and big enough to put a baby bed. Hearty and varied breakfast. Very caring and attentive staff. I will come back and spend the night here. I warmly recommend
