Restaurant Alpina : Pétérey, 3961 Zinal

This is a fantastic, charming place. We were welcomed to check in early and stayed the night in a comfortable private room above the restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with wine and the proprietors were kind to make breakfast available very early as we needed to get an early start on the next leg of our walking route (to Gruben) ahead of bad weather forecast for the afternoon. Some may find the location a little out of the way on the south end of the village, but it was a lovely, quiet area. Very reasonably priced, too. I highly recommend. Wonderful people! Rooms were OK, bathrooms were a little bleak, and the breakfast isn’t much. That all said, it is cute and the two people running it are charming, good people.

I stayed here while walking the WHR. I was made to feel very welcome, enjoyed a lovely meal and had a good nights rest in the dormitory, all for a very reasonable price. The owners very kindly arranged an early breakfast for me in order to leave early the next morning. I would thoroughly recommend eating or staying here. Thank you!
