A beautiful tranquil oasis in the middle of Zürich Zoo with delicious food, kind personnel and efficient service. Outside you'll find a big covered terrace while inside the traditional decor with a wooden finish delivers an exceptional experience. The menu is broad enough for everyone to find something, there's also a kids menu and seasonal highlights. Recommend booking in advance, but when we visited, we were lucky to find a spot spontaneously.

A restaurant with view of monkeys! This traditional Swiss restaurant is located in the Zürich zoo, but it's also accessible to outside guest. Lovely terrace overlooking the African savanna area of the zoo. The menu consist of hearty Swiss meat dishes, with a few vegetarian options. Nicely presented food. Friendly and fast service.

I came at an odd time during the afternoon and it was very unclear where I was supposed to go to get service and if they were even serving at the time. I didn't eventually find someone and was seated. Of course like any other restaurant open between lunch and dinner the menu is limited. They still had plenty of good options though. The food was delicious! It is a relatively short walk from the zoo if you're hungry before/after.
