Hôtel Restaurant Le Mont-Vully : Rte du Mont 50, 1789 Lugnorre

We both stayed and dined. It’s a modest hotel, simple but clean rooms with a great view. The terrace is so beautiful. The restaurant was really good, some of the meals we chose were really distinguishable I would say. With the great atmosphere and the service, I think it’s one of the nicest experience we had around three lakes area.

Nice service THANKS to Charlotte she was very professional and educated. We don’t appreciate the man attitude definitely look like the owner of the place but very not polite and arrogant. Food is ok little bit expensive for what you get on your plate. The view is incredible and quiet place around.

My review relates to the restaurant as I haven’t yet stayed at the hotel (but I have seen the rooms which look clean and comfortable with fabulous views across the lake to the Alps). Around Lake Murten the dish to eat (and judge restaurants by) is egli fillet, small delicate, white-fleshed fish similar to Australian whiting. And Le Mont-Vully serves the best I’ve ever had – fried or with white wine is an option, but I recommend meuniere (simply dusted in flour and pan-fried in butter with a squeeze of lemon). A lovely dining room, great service and awesome cheese trolley. Great wine list too.
