I had a late lunch in this traditional restaurant situated in the village Chevroux in an enclave of the canton of Vaud surrounded by Fribourg land, a strange repartition of territory. This last Friday of January 2025 the restaurant was full but I managed to get the last table in the café section. The restaurant serves traditional local food and is meat leaning although when I visited you could also chose between a large number of mussel options. Vegetarian alternatives are uninspiring. I chose an excellent ox cheek accompanied by an equally good local red served by the glass. There wine list is extensive with many high-end local alternatives, mostly from nearby Mont Vully. The hard working staff is as perfect as you may expect. Overall, a very good experience and good value for money. Highly recommended!
