Swiss Experience at Hotel Krebs I recently stayed at Hotel Krebs in Interlaken and had a fantastic experience! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. A special mention goes to the reception team– all of them were incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The location is also excellent, right in the heart of Interlaken with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. It's just 3 minutes walking from Interlaken West railway station! We tried the delicious Swiss cuisine served at the hotel restaurant. The fondue was rich and flavorful and the "hot stone" grill was delicious. A special thanks also goes to Peter (who was very nice and attentive) and, in general, to the entire service team. All of them were really helpful and made me feel truly cared for. **We got 10% off on the menu as we were Hotel guests. I highly recommend Hotel Krebs to anyone visiting Interlaken who’s looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service.
I had a very pleasant stay at Krebs. The rooms were spacious and very well maintained. The staff was so polite and helpful. They assisted me with all my needs. They have a beautiful looking restaurant as well and the food and service there is also spot on. The breakfast spread had lots of options and the food was delicious. The hotel is located very close to the train and bus stations. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance. The view from the hotel room is also lovely! I have absolutely no complaints and all the praises for this hotel!
A deeply disappointing stay! We stayed one night and were unable to sleep due to the relentless noise from a defective air conditioning unit. A loud sound going off every 3 minutes and lasting 50 seconds. Despite calling the front desk three times, we were reassured it would be fixed soon but nothing was resolved. At 11 PM, exhausted, I called again (I'm pregnant and was traveling with my 64-year-old mother), only to be told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative could be offered. The issue should have been identified and handled properly from the start. Instead, we were left to endure a sleepless and stressful night without any help. After our complaint in the morning, the hotel offered compensation: a dinner refund (for a meal that was very unsatisfying at the hotel restaurant) and a 20% discount. Felt rubbish as we paid 400€ to sleep only 3 hours during the night. This is unacceptable service for any hotel, especially for guests in vulnerable conditions. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.
