We chanced upon this shop as they have available parking space. It’s pretty difficult to park cars around this area. It’s located at the main area of the street. Pretty crowded outdoor seatings when we were there, so we took the inside seats for table of 8. Indoors seating are a little stuffy, so I guess outdoors are a better choice for me altho the sun was very hot too. There were only 2 service staff, they try their best to provide the best service they could. Food wise, I’d recommend the noodles with chicken cream sauce. It’s really yummy, but on the salty side. Was torn between the fries or the noodles, luckily we could share within the group. The fried pork has a very strong smell, not to my liking. Pork chop was also the same. My friend didn’t finish it cuz the smell/taste was a lil overwhelming.
We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in the middle of the day after a trip up to First. It is conveniently located along the Main Street of Grindelwald. Food was very tasty. The tomato soup was very creamy, and balanced the acidity of the tomato very well. Super nice and warm bowl of soup! The Creamed Schnitzel with Mushroom and Noodles was also a favorite. The noodles were super well cooked - very tender and nice. The sauce was spectacular - we loved the cream and mushroom base and it was flavourful. We just wished there were more! We were also served by two very nice ladies. Very friendly, cheerful and professional.
The grilled sausage and rosti that I had was excellent. The only lager beer that I had was also good. Good place to have food after a long hike at Grindelwald.
