Hotel Restaurant Waldrand : Hofstettli 4185A, 3822 Isenfluh

We had a great time during our stay, room has a great view but once outside by the balcony you’ll enjoy the view even better. If you like to hike you can reach Lauterbrunnen in 45 minutes that is non stop though but along the way you’ll find some good views for picture taking. The owner is very cool and very hands on, he really ensure that your stay will be a pleasant one. Truly this hotel and its surrounding areas are hidden gems and worth exploring. Don’t forget to visit Sulwald as well a cable car near the hotel will take you up, the view from the top just breathtaking! Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at this great place for our honeymoon. The owner Ronald is a friendly man and the view of the mountains are so mesmerising. We did not drive and mainly took the bus 142 up and down the hotel from Lauterbrunnen. Do take note of the bus timing if you are not driving as they may not be too regular. The breakfast was also so generous and delicious! We are glad that we stayed at this beautiful place!

The rooms are fine however what could have been a very relaxing and peaceful mountain retreat was ruined by rude guests below us who were playing music, talking loudly and even singing on their balcony for hours. We stayed two nights and both nights these inconsiderate guests were loud on their balcony. It was quite annoying but no fault of the hotel except to say the hotel could move quiet hours up to 9pm for the other guests. We could not use the balcony due to the noise. Like most places in Switzerland, the room has no AC, so you have to leave the window open which only contributed to the noise issue from the other guests on their balcony. We brought small USB fans which I highly recommend if you travel to Switzerland in the summer. There is soap/shampoo for the shower and bathroom (no conditioner). The breakfast was very good and consisted of a deli meats and cheese, yogurt, juice, bread and a fruit cup. One morning we got scrambled eggs and cheese, but it was not available on the second morning. Our room was fine and clean, breakfast was good, but we would not stay again due to noisy guests.
