Gasthof Löwen : Dorfpl. 12, 3114 Wichtrach

I had lunch in this traditional Swiss restaurant the first Saturday of June 2024. The menu is rich in pork and rösti, poor in fish and there are a couple of vegetarian options. I had a Dôle of questionable quality accompanying the plate of the day; three slices of good cooked ham, a potato salad and various vegetables including salad leaves in a well seasoned sauce. One slice of bread without butter is all you get. Service is good and so is value for money.

We've eaten here twice now. The cured ham was delicious and tender . The salad was incomparably good , and the homemade sauce was super delicious. The chicken in the basket was incredibly juicy and tasty, and the skin was crispy. I love it ❤️ The first time I ordered it with fries . The fries were too thin for me, so the second time I ordered noodles like my mum , which were great. We'll be eating here again soon; we love it ❤️❤️
