Best Fillets de Perche I've had along the lake. Staff is friendly and helpful, great lunch menu, and aubergine is right next to play area for kids, two pétanque fields and 1 ping pong table . Great outdoor tables, and elegant indoor tables.

My experience with the hotel manager of this establishment has been the worst. I travel extensively and never did I have a hotel manager close the phone on me TWICE. I booked the first time a stay at this hotel a month ago, and due to being very sick on the way to location, I called them, explained and he agreed to wave my fee . I rebooked for a different date . My card was declined twice and my booking cancelled for this 2nd booking. When I tried to call and ask whether I can give a different card - the manager told me that "I had cancelled on them twice" and closed the phone on me. I called again to try and explain that I had not cancelled and he closed the phone on me again. As a result, they charged me for my first booking - which he had agreed to wave, and cancelled my second booking which resulted in me having to book another hotel at a much higher price. While this was probably a misunderstanding on their part - not processing my card correctly for the 2nd reservation - and something that could have been easily fixed, it turned out to be a terrible experience. I am sorry that in this day and age, a hotel manager can behave in such a way given he is in the hospitality business. Shame on you Sir, and next time at least have the curteousy to hear your clients out since I had every intention to come stay at your hotel and had called to make sure that happens. Now, I will not only make sure I never stay here again, but I will also make sure that everyone I know "avoids" the type of hospitality you offer.

Wonderful small auberge located in a picturesque location not far from Geneva and the airport. If you're in town for business and looking for a quiet place to stay that's a little out of the way, I can't recommend Auberge de Founex enough. The staff here is not only incredibly friendly, but also competent - our waitress was a veritable fountain of knowledge about local wines, and if stay here and don't try at least one of those, you're really missing out. The food is also locally sourced, fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and familial as it appears the locals also know only too well where to go for good food in Founex.
