We visited the Panorama Restaurant Chutzen on Mother’s Day, fully aware that it would be a busy day and that lunch might take some time — we came prepared for that. We were seated around 12:15, but it took about 35 minutes before we were even able to place our food order. The Apéro we ordered arrived only at 13:00, which was quite a long wait, even for such a busy day. The salad we had was pleasant, and the view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning — the location is a definite highlight. However, the menu was quite limited for vegetarians, with only fries or salad with egg as options, which feels a bit disappointing in 2025. Unfortunately, the menu of the day was already sold out by the time we ordered, and the advertised beef dish was replaced with pork — a substitute that not everyone at our table was happy with. Given that reservations are required, you would expect the kitchen to be better prepared and to have enough of the set menu available. The food overall was okay, but nothing outstanding. A few small but noticeable mistakes happened: drinks were forgotten, and three people received french fries instead of the potatoes they had ordered with their fish. Furthermore, as people were smoking just outside on the terrace and the door was open it smelled like a smoke saloon. The service staff were friendly and clearly trying their best under pressure, but the overall service still left something to be desired — especially on such a high-traffic day like Mother’s Day. All in all, it was an average experience. With the right expectations — and maybe on a quieter day — this place could be more enjoyable thanks to its great view, friendly staff, and nice location.
Swiss hot chocolate and a gorgeous view on Alps.
bad value for money, food is expensive for the quality that is served. service ok but slow and inattentive.
