Hotel Löwen, LARO Gastro AG : Hauptstrasse 112, 6182 Escholzmatt

I spent a night in this dated establishment, also enjoying dinner, served by a very pleasant waitress. Rooms were basic at best, rennovated several decades ago with plastic floor materials and cheap furniture. Trying to go to sleep I could overhear the telephone conversation of my next door neighbour, almost as if he had been in the bed beside me. For dinner we had ordered their entrecote blue, but received it well done, and even after a second attempt by the kitchen, it was not cooked as we desired. It was partly compensated by an excellent Blauburgunder from Luzern. Overall a rather poor experience.

Wonderful hospitality, friendly staff. Dated rooms and building but cheap price, very good value for money. Good dinner in restaurant. They could offer safe storage for my bike. Average breakfast. Can hear people talk through the walls in the room. But I would go here again.
