From the outside it sometimes looks as if the regulars from “Schieffe Egg” (Basel-Stadt) were also regulars there! Not very inviting...And sorry, but THAT WON'T WORK AT ALL: After reading about the family with the baby that had to be changed OUTSIDE-IN WINTER!!-I will definitely never eat or drink anything there! 🤬👎
We urgently had to change our baby, the dear owner asked for 1.- and showed us the toilet outside the restaurant, which smelled of urine and didn't have a changing table. So we had to change our child outside in the cold. Very unfriendly!!!
I find the staff, like the couple who run the place, very friendly and accommodating. They have everything you need to kill time. The coffee tastes good, and a fresh pint of beer is always available. The outdoor area is pleasant and nicely centrally located near the tram stop; a little noisy, but easy to ignore. I really like the village of Aesch, and you feel very comfortable here.
