The Aarburg Hotel & Cafe : Beatenbergstrasse 1, 3800 Unterseen bei Interlaken

Great hotel. Great room. Great location. Great view. The breakfast let this place down. Not much choice. And it was the same every day. No variety. We were in a room with the small selection of cereals/yoghurts/cheese slices/fruit. And toast. The ‘cafe’ customers seemed to take priority. Or that is how we were made to feel. The breakfast food for cafe customers looked amazing.

We have just stayed here in room 103. Big room with a fantastic view. For two tired travellers, this hotel is a gorgeous haven. The staff and management are exceptional. Their kindness and willingness to help with information and with luggage was first class. The breakfast and cafe menu are fantastic and plentiful. We recommend this wonderful hotel and its team to all.

I’d like to thank all the staff - especially Angelo - for hosting us! For anyone who is browsing places to stay in Interlaken or the surrounding area, I would highly recommend the Aarburg. Firstly, the rooms was bigger than it looked in pictures. This is in a quiet part of town that is equidistant from both Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost stations. It is a short walk to everything including downtown and the Harder Bahn. Now, do me a favor, book a room facing the mountains. The views are better than they look in pictures. Turns out, this place has complimentary continental breakfast including café drinks for guests as well! The great service applies all throughout. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Switzerland in general. Again, thanks so much for a fantastic stay!
