Gasthof Krone Blatten : Kantonsstrasse, 6102 Malters

We had a very nice Birthday/Mother’s Day Lunch here. It was very good, even though there was a set menu. Traditional Swiss Country decor, wood, tablecloth and flowers everywhere. Super cozy atmosphere with elegance. They accommodated dietary restrictions like gluten free.

We arrived to a closed hotel with no apparent entrance. Peter arrived within 20 minutes and was able to check us in - we then discovered that the hotel entrance was the same as the locked restaurant entrance. He was pleasant and even invited us to park near the garage as the restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday. Additionally, there was a wonderful walking path across the street behind the church which allowed us to take a leisurely 3-5 km stroll. Unfortunately, his pleasantness did not overcome the road noise in the room not the cigarette smoke which led to a terrible night sleep. Again, staff was lovely, the room did not overcome the other issues.

Simply amazing. I can say this is one of the best restaurants in Switzerland. Staffs were superfriendly and they make you feel welcomed. My wife and I visited here for our honeymoon and the staff kindly welcomed us and congratulated us on our marriage which was very thoughtful and caring of them. Food is absolutely amazing. Lucerne beef steak and fish dish is highly recommended. The atmosphere of the restaurant was just perfect. If you are staying Lucerne, you must come here for a nice dinner. Thank you guys for the amazing dining experience. We will come back for our anniversary.
