We visited the Swiss House for lunch today. Not what we expected! The menue offers different options in different price levels🖖. We ordered a burger, a bratwurst, and salad. The salad dressing was a highly dispointing, a pre-fixed out of a can 🤔 and this under THE CHEDI label, unacceptable. Service OK, Chef the Service not up to the level. What should have been a nice experience was reduced to the views and atmosphere. Much room to improve....
We came to Andermatt last year and visited the Cotton Club which was a nice experience. Good ambiance and very kind staff. We came back today and saw that Cotton was replaced with what they now call the Swiss House. When we arrived we immediately saw a difference in atmosphere. The service was less than mediocre and to top it all if we found a fly inside the club sandwich we ordered. When we showed the waiter, he did offer us a new one but we still had to pay. Additionally, we asked to turn on one of the gas stoves, that they had outside where we were sitting and were informed that they had run out of gas and were not able to turn it on. This, was funny enough at 14.00. Disappointing change of venue, we will not be returning.
Last years cotton club got bad reviews, I’m glad they listened and changed owner. Instead of overpriced small sushi there is raclette, salad, burger or a beef tartare for reasonable prices. Burger was well cooked, the tartare with a bit too mustardy - would have loved the egg there and some butter for the toast. Waiters speak English and German. Clientes are now more skiers and more chill atmosphere. Will be back :)
