The specialty is Highland beef from the region. We were there again last weekend... The food was amazing, as always. Sirloin medallion and side-meat salad from Highland beef... wow... The price-performance ratio is perfect; I'd even say it's very good value for money. Special requests are fully accommodated. We're already planning to go back in August. Highly recommended. Note: Small restaurant, so early reservations are always highly recommended.

My family and I , walked all the way here having caught the funicular from Braunwald, and arrived to a half-empty restaurant to be told rather rudely that they were “fully booked.” The woman who told us this could see we were tired, and had two very young hungry children with us, but had obviously decided that English tourists were unwelcome. She first spoke to us in German despite us greeting her with an English accent, and asked if we had a reservation, which she clearly knew we didn’t. I wouldn’t return here even with a reservation just on principle.
