It's perfect for people passing by, a lot of parking (for trucks too), great food at honest prices.

Very mixed experience. We ordered a fitness plate, salads and schnitzel (variation with the breadcrumbed Schnitzel, not just the plain porc schnitzel). The quality of the porc was flawless. But the two schnitzels were rather small (a thing I could accept for the à la carte price of 23 Swiss francs). What I found disappointing, was that the meat wasn't pounded out at all (instead we got two rather fat, though juicy pieces on the plate). Not okay was, that my schnitzel twins were on one side much too dark (my partner was luckier) and a borderline case whether to be served like that at all. They turned the schnitzels over, to hide the almost burnt side, which was very disappointing. A faint bitterness from the breadcrumbed crust disturbed therefore the otherwise good meat. The salad was a nice arrangement of about 8 different sorts of fresh and crisp salads. But we were not given any choice for the dressing. The French dressing was unexciting if not bland and much too creamy for a fitness plate. The service on the other hand was very friendly. The shady roofed terrasse was also nice. The restaurant lies on the plateau of the beautiful "Rothenthurm Hochmoor". It is a good starting place for walks.
