Steakhouse zum roten Stier is part of the Melchthal Resort but can be visited by anyone. Dyring our stay at the resort we went to the steakhouse twice as the food was so good. All dishes were lively and of high quality. We had the cote a beuf, 800gr of meat which was fantastic! Then we also had Guidos Keule which was made with a beer sauce and also very tasty. The last main dish we enjoyed were the Spareribs (the bones can be pulled out by hand). As starters we also had the chorizo, the tartar and the salad. All meals were very good, I would recommend to accompany the meal with the house red wine. If you want to round off the evening I would recommend to try the “Heuschnaps” which is a product from Switzerland and is delicious.

I really enjoyed the food. The burger was very tasty and I thought it was good value for money. The dessert was also good (Mövenpick ice cream). The ambiance was quite pleasant and typical of Austrian cuisine, but the bench seating wasn't particularly comfortable. There were cushions, but not enough for everyone. The service was friendly, and it was a lovely evening. There's also a photo wall (but the lighting isn't ideal).
