LES MOILLES Buvette d'alpage : Route de l' Evi, 1669 Haut-Intyamon

Closed for the winter October 1, 2022. Expected to reopen June 1, 2023. Extremely unique dining experience. The road to get here is one lane, when you encounter anyone coming the opposite direction one of you must back up to a wide enough spot to pull off the road. The road is not paved the entire way. The directions on Google maps are not accurate, you need to go further than it shows. We passed cows grazing with bells ringing. Once you arrive, enter through the Dutch door and sit at the long tables. Rustic interior with soot darkened rafters, wood burning stove in a former open fireplace, and a dog who likes women, but not men add to the ambiance. On our visit, the only food option was fondue with bread. Delicious! This will be the highlight meal of our trip! The photos show the entrance to the "restaurant" and the road to get there.

Romane and Romain are incredibly friendly, and their food is delicious, all in a beautiful setting!!! Make a detour to eat a local dish (I recommend the röstis and the cooked wine tart) and walk around this beautiful region. And go say hello to the friendly goats in the mountain pasture just above :)

A great new team for this 2023 season! We came by on opening weekend. Everything was perfect, with a warm welcome and we had a great meal. Thank you, Romain, thank you, Romane!!
