Today we went to the Waldrose for a fine Easter menu and it was excellent as always. Very nice hostess who makes you feel at home. Fine house aperitif and the food was of top quality. The ambience is so nice and intimate with just a few tables. You feel completely comfortable. The forest rose is THE address for enjoyment and relaxation. Thank you very much and see you at the beginning of May. Best regards Gloria and Thomas
We had a wonderful family celebration at the Waldrose. The uniquely beautiful location and the good weather were, of course, important aspects for the day. BUT: the excellent service, the lovingly decorated, shady tables, and the delicious food made it a perfect and unforgettable day! THANK YOU to the entire team!
Yesterday we visited this little idyll near Wil SG once again. This time a short hike from Wuppenau via Greutensberg took us here , exactly the same distance as the walk back to Wil, which we later had to digest. My mother was also able to manage both routes well. The many views and far-reaching views here with a magnificent panorama of the Alps are compensation enough. But it gets even better. Because the wooden spoon is being wielded at a high level here. Even if some textures don't come across as usual, the taste of the food ultimately decides. And that’s 100% true! And the above-mentioned clearly sets the kitchen apart from the usual monotony. I think the presentation of the current roast is brilliant. And for me, as a meat eater, there is even an extra piece available at the end of the feast - simply delicious. The hand-stirred iced coffee is also worth mentioning and is one of the best I've had so far. And of course the service, which is always too frequent and attentive, also deserves a crown. It's nice to see that people are sprinting when someone tries to pour themselves, or to see the inner anger with themselves when someone still manages to do it. Bravo! Here the guest is still appreciated even if a menu is completely redesigned, as at the neighboring tables, or a simple sausage salad is supposed to satisfy the craving. We really hope that this isn't our last visit up here. We would love to go on this little pleasure trip again with friends and acquaintances according to the motto: “Nicely awesome!” Kind regards from Gallusstadt
