For me, the Schauenburg mountain restaurant is one of the best in the first Jura chain. Simple, honest, friendly, and family-run. Comfortable in every respect. Well-located for hiking. Located behind the actual Schauenburg, which gives it its name, there are no views of the Mittelland, but this only enhances the mountain feeling and promotes a certain isolation. The small menu with down-to-earth dishes, snacks, and drinks caters to all tastes. And all at very reasonable prices. For me, it's worth a visit at any suitable opportunity. And a tip for anyone who demands sophisticated entertainment or the like: stay home or go somewhere else 😉
