Beautifully located restaurant with friendly, attentive service and professional staff! Lactose intolerances are catered for; instead of herb butter, they serve herb oil, which was truly exceptionally tasty. Very good value for money.

A very beautiful restaurant above Sissach, below the Sissacher Fluh, run with love and passion for several generations as a family business. Next door is the organic farm, which also belongs to the family. The menu is limited to specialties and regional products, making it much easier to choose. Vegetarian options and a selection of children's dishes are also included. The dishes are simple and lovingly decorated. There is a large garden restaurant, where tables are set under three old, well-tended chestnut trees that provide shade in the summer. Next to it, children will find swings and a seesaw to let them run around on, and parents can let them play without worry, as there is no through traffic. The whole area is surrounded by a splendor of flowers, and the view from here can sweep into the distance. A very popular destination for hikers, bikers, and casual strollers, who are sure to find something to refuel here. Dogs are not a problem. Access is from Sissach towards the shooting range; from there, it's signposted. It's not accessible by car via the road from above the Sissacher Fluh; only by bike or on foot. It's more than worth a visit, and once you've been there, you'll be happy to return again and again!
