Restaurant Löwen : Hauptstrasse 86, 4450 Sissach

We ended up in the restaurant by accident, since the one we wanted was full. We were received cordially, it was empty inside. The restaurant itself looks like you've stepped into a time machine, but everything is quite clean. Modern renovation was waiting for me on the second floor where the toilet rooms are. It turned out to be a nice bonus that they brought us a drink in a glass, but we couldn’t guess what it was, some kind of non-alcoholic apricotif. After ordering, they brought bread and a couple of snacks, which also turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The portions are large, cooked deliciously, but not in a way that makes the restaurant our favorite. I ordered shrimp with salad, but for some reason I also found fries. This is very strange, because salad is usually ordered by those who do not eat fried potatoes. The shrimp were fresh and tasty, the salad was ordinary and there was a lot of vinegar. For two dishes + drinks, without alcohol and dessert, we paid 74 CHF, this is the average bill for the region. In general, our impressions were positive, of course the pleasant waiter played a big role.

Good lasagna, but very expensive at 16 francs. The aluminum foil wasn't completely filled. Delivery was slow. Pizza was okay, not what it used to be, but a few more side dishes would have been nice. The pepperoni at Rustica was wrong, and the garlic was missing.
