Normally this place is great and well known for the good food and the friendly service. But today the deer stripes were not good at all. The meat was full of fat chunks and muscle fibers - you could not chew the meat at all. Sadly they did not offer anything after I told them about the bad meat. We got an excuse, a sorry, that's it. Lets say, 44 Swiss franks is not cheap for a menu in this area, so i felt a bit sad only getting a sorry and no apologies from the chef or the manager. On the other hand it can happen to the best places and the service was great and friendly as always and all the other dishes looked and smelled great.

Fantastic restaurant in Schaffhausen with superb service and menu. Fresh menu with daily soups made from seasonal specialties like Romanesco Soup. Really tasty burgers and a Boar Burger. Thankfully they spoke English because my Swiss-German is not so great. Lots to choose on the menu so it will be hard to pick. Recommend making reservations as I am sure they stay busy. Decor is first class with carved wood and tablecloth service as well as professionally trained staff. It was very nice being able to pay separately for our group of 8. This will be a keeper for our day visit to the Falls!

Excellent food, presented with a lot of detail and very friendly and helpful staff. Extensive wine choice. Bit chalet style inside with a weird temporary french decoration.
