Restaurant St. Anton in Oberegg is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Swiss cuisine. The menu features delicious traditional dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality provided. Fantastic Appenzeller bier. I've visited a few times, and I always appreciate the friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The view from the restaurant is truly spectacular, offering a stunning panorama over Rheintal and Bodensee . A quick stroll up there, enjoying the stunning view and the charming small St. Anton chapel nextdoor, is worthwhile either before or after visiting the restaurant. Whether you’re dining inside or on the terrace, the scenery and ambiance make each visit special. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the area.

Traditional Swiss restaurant in an extraordinary location Splendid views of the Rhine valley, on-site parking. Friendly staff, yet sometimes it takes a while until someone shows up to take orders. Food is typically Swiss, simple yet very tasty. I’d recommend the cheese platter and the „Flädlesuppe“, a salty broth with stripes of crêpe.

We had an order of 24, -CHF. To do this, we asked for 1 liter of pure water. We drank this water and we were still thirsty, so we asked for another 1 liter of pure water. The waitress brought us a bill of 5, -CHF for clean water, which should be free if the guest orders something !!! When we alerted her, she took the block back and told us at the next table that we had such a small bill and would still like clean water. Never again this restaurant. I do not recommend.
