Eat: Visually very appealing, tastes great. The Cordon Bleue was very good, burgers were very tasty. Starters creatively presented. Service: super friendly and attentive Location: very cozy, decorated with attention to detail We'll definitely go back!
Visited: September 2021 Ordered: Mountain cheese croquettes with salad, salad with yakitori skewer, chicken cordon bleu filled with herb cream cheese and ham, chanterelle risotto We were looking for a good, new-to-us restaurant that still had something on offer late Sunday evening. So we came from the canton of St. Gallen to Beiz 1640 in Wald. My partner was excited about the Crazy Chicken Weeks, and I was delighted with the delicious vegetarian dishes. We were the only guests, which is quite normal for a late Sunday evening in Wald. Nevertheless, the staff was very enthusiastic and happy to welcome us and our dog, who was also welcome. The chanterelle risotto was custom-made; it wasn't even on the menu, but that made me very happy as a vegetarian. We were also able to try the mountain cheese croquettes with salad – also not on the menu. You could see the owners' joy and felt well looked after. The Crazy Chicken Weeks menu was varied and also offered something for vegetarians. There was almost too much choice, so you had to take your time to even make a decision. We'd love to come back here next time we're in the area—or maybe we'll come especially for you ;)
