In Rorschach, which was unfortunately raining heavily on this day, I had time between two appointments and was looking for a place for lunch. The Marktplätzli beckons with its modern ambiance and view of the market square. The service is Swiss-friendly, and the concise menu ("It's as long as it lasts!") offers main courses between seven and 19 Swiss francs. Tarte flambée is the house specialty. The clientele is diverse, making it a pleasant place to linger. Everything is prepared in the dining room. The tomato and mozzarella salad is just the right size for my small appetite.

Very nice café. The owners are super friendly and helpful if you need information about directions and so on of the region. The place has a cozy athmosphere. The coffee and especially the croissants are very good and you should try them. The café is situated directly in the center of Rorschach at the market place. You can reach it easily by foot and public transportation. The train station Rorschach Hafen is about a 3 minutes walk away, the other train station Rorschach Stadt about 5 minutes. The bus station is 1 minute away. After the coffee you can enjoy a walk at the lake promenade which is only 2 minutes away. I definetly can recommend it.
