We planned to spend a cozy evening with fine dining at Chutnee Restaurant last night. The terrace and surroundings are truly beautiful, ideal conditions for a successful evening. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but pleasant. Upon arrival, we were met with irritated stares and had to call out our reservation name loudly from a distance, as the waitress apparently found it too much to take a few steps toward us. Without a greeting or a smile, we were sent to our table without comment. When we politely asked for a chair for our bags, as there really was no other way to place them properly, the waitress rolled her eyes and made an unfriendly, snippy remark. We felt completely unwelcome from the very first moment. Despite the poor start, we wanted to give the evening a chance based on the many good reviews and ordered an Aperol Spritz. Unfortunately, this was also a disappointment, as it had no flavor and was obviously colored mineral water. Meanwhile, we observed other guests being treated noticeably unfriendly by the same waitress. At this point, it was clear to us that we couldn't stay any longer under such circumstances and left the restaurant without eating anything. This was particularly bitter, as we had been really looking forward to the Indian food. The service was unfortunately abysmal; whether this was due to a bad day or a general lack of enthusiasm remains to be seen. Fortunately, there are numerous other restaurants in Bad Ragaz that offer a significantly better overall experience, both in terms of food and customer service, at similar prices.

A good Indian restaurant with extremely friendly staff! The kitchen also delivers the food very quickly and the quality is excellent! We'd be happy to come back anytime!
