Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Beautiful old building and the room was a fair size, well equipped, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptional. Incredibly friendly and helpful, giving me tips as a first time visitor to Basel. The restaurant staff were also brilliant, with our waiter helping with the wine list and serving up Swiss wines. The food was also very good. After checkout the team very kindly gave me access to the gym across the road so I could change into travelling clothes after business meetings were finished. Great hospitality! Highly recommend the hotel and I would happily stay again!

We were at this hotel for one night. I picked it before I realized it was going to be hot in Basel as the hotel was not air-conditioned. We took a cab to the hotel from the port where we docked off an AMA cruise ship. Cab fare was 30 …

Good location and friendly desk staff. Basel Card a nice touch for us. However, after exiting the lift there were still several steps up to our room which were difficult. Had lunch in the bar which was fine. Dinner service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired.
