Chalet Speciale : Via Chalchera 9, 7505 Celerina/Schlarigna

Absolutely a nice place to stay. Right next to the celerina train station. 4 min train to St Moritz. Very nice host. Clean and warm in the room. Fabulous breakfast and fantastic coffee in the morning. Definitely recommend. One thing to note: the wall is thin so you can hear the people in the hallway or next door. But not too bad.

Overall this is a solid choice for a no frills stay in St Moritz. Yes, the bathrooms are shared, but it is not as bad as one would think. There are three floors of rooms and each floor has its own restroom. The bathrooms are also quite clean. The rooms themselves are clean, the breakfast was quite nice, and the hotel is walking distance to the lifts. I will say I was surprised at how expensive their dinner menu is, given how inexpensive the hotel itself is. Chalet Speciale runs many of the ski clinics on the mountain. It seems like they have been doing it for a while.

This place was fantastic! Less than a 5 minute walk (uphill but what're you going to do) from the train station, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service is amazing. They put out a great breakfast spread, the host was very kind and personable. We would've chatted with her all morning if we didn't have to catch our train. Celerina is very idyllic, though we were there in early June and it was a ghost town. It was spendy, but everything in Switzerland is. I bet it comes alive in the high season. I would stay here again with no hesitation.
