Hearty, uncomplicated café with a great view. There are cold plates, cakes and ice cream as well as drinks, a large selection of Swiss beer and wine. In summary: Quality goods at unrivaled prices. Or as the innkeeper says: "No frills, but good war." I think it's great that, with the exception of the whipped cream for the Schümli Pflümli, only organic products are sold: organic soft drinks, organic beer, organic wine, organic ice cream, organic salsiz and so on. Great importance is attached to the origin of the products. All farm products are from Tschiertschen. The ice cream comes from Alvaneu. The beer from Appenzell and the wine from the Graubünden rule. The nut cake is from Val Müstair and is the best I have ever come across. My tip: A piece of nut cake and a vanilla or hazelnut ice cream. Splendid. Marija and Hitsch, thank you! You're doing great! That's what was needed in Tschiertschen.

Today unfortunately I have a division in my own opinion and I will be clear about it below: The restaurant promises with all the products they offer, the prices are in the standard of tourism and its facilities are perfect, but something very unique happened to us today Saturday. Yesterday Friday around 5 PM after finishing our 6 hour trek, we arrived at the restaurant for 2 glasses of white wine, an iced tea and a piece of walnut cake. We paid everything directly at the counter where we asked the lady for our order and we sat for about 20 minutes on the terrace because it was already closing time. We enjoyed the food and the view. Finally we went to our lodging place, about 3 houses away from the restaurant. Today Saturday we returned to the restaurant after another day of hiking, around 5.30 PM and again we went to the inn to ask for a plate of cheese and ham with a small jug of red wine. Surprisingly, the same lady kindly tells us that the day before we left without paying; To which, in that same minute, surprised and confused at the same time, we replied that we were very sorry and that we will clearly pay what is owed. I immediately saw my wife's face and she didn't look very happy. Then we sit at the same table on the terrace and my wife tells me that she is completely sure that she paid the day before, to which I reply that I am too. Immediately my wife enters again and they both talk about the misunderstanding. Unfortunately the lady does not agree with us. Then our order arrives at the table and there really is no appetite anymore. Minutes go by where neither of us eat and suddenly the lady appears with the previous day's money and leaves it on the table, arguing that she is completely sure that we are not paying on Friday and leaves. Finally we eat and drink everything; We take the 19 CHF that the lady returned and we leave the place disappointed. To conclude, I say what goes through my mind: could it be that other clients that same day forgot to pay and that is why the accounts do not balance the lady? Or is it just a common way of treating tired tourists?
