Gasthof Löwen, Kapplerstrasse 43, 9642 Ebnat-Kappel

The food here was fantastic and omg you get so much of it! Even the simple Rösti which is just some hash browns with a tomato on the side tasted great. I ordered the Rahmgeschneltes, which is pork in a sort of butter cream gravy sauce with carrots and pasta. Excellent flavors, the texture of the hash brown was so crispy on the outside and a little soft on the inside. Everything was cooked perfectly and a super friendly staff that speak, German, Italian, English and maybe more haha I didn't ask. They have a great selection of Ice Cream and other Ice cream related desserts as well 😃 The beer was a local brew also. I will be back again before I leave Switzerland!

Restaurant Löwen serves the best breaded schnitzels in the entire canton of St. Gallen! 👌 The breadcrumbs are light and golden brown on the meat – just like a real schnitzel should be. The portions are huge: two large schnitzels on a plate, accompanied by generous side dishes. A truly great restaurant with friendly service – we felt very comfortable 🙌 Bravo and thank you so much! We'll definitely be back ❤️

I had the pleasure of dining at the Gasthof Löwen in Ebnat-Kappel and can only say the best. Not only was the food extremely delicious, but I was also impressed by the value for money. The portions were generous and ensured complete satisfaction. What really stood out was the extremely friendly staff, whose warm and attentive nature made the stay even more pleasant. The atmosphere in the inn also deserves special praise: inviting dining rooms with a charming flair and a beautiful terrace, which makes the Gasthof Löwen a perfect place for everyone who appreciates cosiness, hearty food and the company of nice people. In short, if you are looking for a place where the well-being of the guests is a top priority, you will get your money's worth here. Absolutely recommended.
