We stopped for lunch after a snowy hike. We were immediately captivated by the atmosphere, and our dog felt very comfortable there, too. The menu was incredibly good and very reasonably priced. I particularly liked the "small" dessert that accompanied the meal.

We visited the Hagli Beiz for the first time yesterday. The restaurant is idyllically situated on the Passwang, exuding friendliness and cleanliness. After our hike, we were quite hungry, but due to the large crowd, we had to wait 45 minutes for the starter and another 30 minutes for the main course. The owner handles the service single-handedly, while her husband and son work hard in the kitchen. We certainly understand this situation. But when you're plagued by hunger, it simply takes too long! If only we'd been given something to nibble on to shorten the wait—even if it was 'just' bread. The salad was delicious, and so was the beef fillet with fries and a few vegetables. The price of CHF 53 for a two-course meal in a "mountain restaurant" seems a bit steep to us. The owner's wine recommendation was excellent and, at CHF 49, very fair value. Conclusion: Next time we'll go during the week and see what it's like then.

Great atmosphere, 6-star food, and the wine pairing was top-notch. There's only one thing to say: if you've never been there, you're missing out. Top value for money, top, top. We look forward to our next visit.
